Summary of Responsibilities
Under supervision perform activities and tasks associated with on-site waste management, decontamination, Liquid Effluent Collection and Transfer System (LECTS) operation, non-destructive assay (NDA) measurements, and waste handling in accordance with all applicable company and / or regulatory requirements.
Education and Experience
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate?s Degree or equivalent from an accredited 2 year college or technical school
Prior experience with Pump Disassembly

: 9/80 professional work schedule, some nights/weekends may be required

: 10% of the time or less as required
Security Clearance Requirement
: CAA Access and a L or Q level security clearance.
Emergency Response Requirements:
Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duty may be required; including being on-call (24/7) during your designated team duty week.
Work Environment
: Radiological exposure expectations of < 100 mrem/yr. General Office, Plant Production Areas. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets etc.
Primary Functions
Under direct supervision, perform equipment decontamination, non-destructive assay (NDA), Liquid Effluent Collection and Transfer System (LECTS), and regulated waste handling activities.
Under supervision perform on-site decontamination operations activities.
Under supervision properly handle and collect decontaminated materials generated at URENCO USA, as required by site procedures and supervision.
Under supervision manage waste in accordance with current Recycling procedures for decontamination and waste handling activities, and operation of LECTS.
Under supervision complete and submit to supervision required decontamination, waste handling, and NDA instrument records including those from inspections, surveys, MC&A and criticality safety measurements.
Under supervision perform routine operations inspections and ensure that decontamination, NDA, LECTS, and waste handling activities comply with approved procedures.
Under supervision perform NDA instrument (i.e., gamma spectroscopy) measurements in support of the UUSA Material Control and Accountability (MC&A) and Site Criticality Safety programs.
Under supervision operate LECTS and perform uranic mass sampling and bookkeeping protocols during operations.
Under supervision conduct decontamination processing activities safely and efficiently in accordance with site procedures, regulatory guidelines and industry standards.
Sets up and operates non-destructive assay instruments.

Compensation starting at: $ 71231 - $ 95765 / year and up dependent on candidate.
