Expected salary range of $123,300 to $137,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

Primary Purpose of Position

The Manager, Utility Bill Management (UBM)Operations, is responsible for managing and coordinating the activities and operations of the teams in the assigned business function areas. This position will maintain an advanced understanding of workflow activity and business process mapping within the assigned teams. The UBM Operations Manager will handle and ensure that customer expectations (e.g., service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs)) are met within the team's requirements and will guide the team through complex workflow issue resolution and evaluate the integrity of system controls providing direction and support for innovation where needed. This position will proactively communicate with other teams to mitigate or fully remediate issues that cross multiple functional areas.


Primary Duties and Accountabilities

  • Establish and maintain team performance through clear goals, metrics, quality standards, development plans, and regular performance reviews while fostering strong engagement and culture.
  • Lead and develop a high performing team responsible for strategic reporting, analysis, and coordination activities, providing coaching and performance oversight to ensure consistent and high quality execution of responsibilities.
  • Partner with cross functional teams and Information Technology to support projects, define requirements, develop test plans, and implement system and process improvements.
  • Proactively challenge the status quo to automate and improve processes through innovation by creating and/or leveraging new technologies or work processes, with focus and intent on implementing their sustainable solutions.
  • Resolve complex operational issues using independent judgment, including interpreting tariffs, regulatory requirements, and market rules as needed.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 8 years of experience in data services, operations, sales, marketing, strategy consulting, or product management
  • 3 years of leadership experience
  • Strong presentation skills; capable of presenting externally and internally
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and influence all levels of management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal and written
  • Ability to multi-task and work with teams and independently in a fast paced, dynamic environment, under deadline pressure with external and internal partners at all levels
  • Proven ability to self direct work, prioritize competing demands, and meet established deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Energy industry experience
  • Master's degree in Information Systems or Business Program
  • Experience using CRM and or order to cash workflow systems
  • Experience in utility data operations
  • Utility bill management experience
  • Enterprise SaaS experience
