Summary of Responsibilities



This position is responsible for the security of the special nuclear material, classified material and physical protections of commercial interests. This position is responsible for directing the activities of security personnel to ensure the physical protection of the facility. The position is responsible for the protection of classified matter and obtaining security clearances for facility personnel and support personnel. This position interfaces with employees and managers at all levels of the organization and externally with vendors and governmental agencies. This position adheres to the foundational behaviors, company values and Urenco behaviors.



Education and Experience

Minimum Qualifications



            
  • Bachelor's degree in business, security management, statistics or engineering field.
            
  • 5-7 years of responsible nuclear experience implementing a physical security program.
            
  • 2 years of management experience

Preferred Qualifications:



            
  • Bachelor's degree in business, security management, statistics or engineering field and a Master?s degree in related field.
            
  • More than 7 years of responsible nuclear experience implementing a physical security program.
            
  • Experience implementing a Nuclear Material Accounting Program for the control of Special Nuclear Material.
            
  • 4 or more years of management experience

Job Details



            
  • Work Location: Urenco USA, Eunice, NM
            
  • Work Schedule: Professional work schedule/ with minimal night/ weekend support. Some nights and weekend work may be required. Employees are also subject to call-outs as needed.
            
  • Travel Required: 10% of the time or less as required.
            
  • Security Clearance Requirement: CAA Access and Q level security clearance.
            
  • Emergency Response Requirements: Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duty may be required; including being on-call (24/7) during your designated team duty week.
            
  • Work Environment: Radiological exposure expectations of < 100 mrem/yr. General Office, Plant Production Areas. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets etc.

Primary Functions



            
  • Manage and Implement the Physical Security Program, Information Security Program, Security of applicable Information Technology systems, Access Authorization and Fitness for Duty Programs.
            
  • Ensure contracted security force contract adherence is maintained to ensure the physical protection of the plant and classified material.
            
  • Ensures the adequacy of security training programs and ensure all security force personnel are adequately trained and equipped.
            
  • Support security oversight of subsidiary in the centrifuge assembly building and work closely with the ET- US Security & Regulatory Affairs Manager.
            
  • Ensure all oversight and auditing responsibilities are concluded. Ensure required reporting is made.
            
  • Manage the security of the Information Technology infrastructure at URENCO USA.
            
  • Interact with regulatory agency personnel regarding the Security Plan and program activities related to licensing, inspections, assessment of performance, and event analysis
            
  • Provides team leadership, training, coaching and mentoring.
            
  • Creates and develops an effective and aligned team and sets challenging goals and expectations for staff.
            
  • Ensures positive behaviors are exhibited by staff.
            
  • Develops and manages the Security budget.
            
  • As a collaborative member of the UUSA Site Leadership Team, supports site and corporate strategies and initiatives, models our cultural values, and drives accountability to meet our key results.
            
  • Is the Local Process Owner for Security and ensures alignment with Group and Local Process Owners.
            
  • In the absence of the Compliance manager may serve as Acting Compliance Manager.

Compensation starting at: $ 160782 - $ 189155 / year and up dependent on candidate.
