Job Summary




Dominion is seeking applicants for Laborer positions at the North Anna Power Station in Mineral, VA.




The individual selected for this position will be required to perform housekeeping and maintenance duties inside and outside of the power station in all types of weather conditions.




Sample duties include the following:





  • General clean up


  • Scrubbing/waxing floors


  • Cleaning in various areas of the plant


  • May also assist with other outdoor duties such as lawn maintenance and assisting with snow removal


  • Assignment to a fire or flood watch


  • Supports station operations when needed and should be able to wear a respirator and work in confined spaces


  • Perform other duties as assigned




While the work schedule is primarily Monday through Friday days, Laborers must have the availability and flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays and outages as station needs dictate.




A valid driver's license is required.




Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience




The successful candidates will have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:





  • High School diploma or equivalent required.


  • A valid driver's license is required.


  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.


  • Previous nuclear experience is a plus


  • Experience in a craft (mechanical, electrical, I&C) is preferred


  • Ability to operate heavy equipment (Bobcats, forklifts, etc.) is a plus.


  • Possession of a CDL Class B license is a plus.


  • Ability to assist all departments daily in areas of physical labor duties.


  • Will strive to keep the power station neat and orderly.


  • The individual must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, a background investigation pertaining to DMV, criminal history, verification of prior employment, and education records, and be eligible for receipt and retention of a nuclear clearance enabling access to our facilities.

This job requires recommended test results from the EEI Plant Maintenance Selection System (MASS) or the EEI Plant Operators Selection System (POSS) combo test, administered onsite during the pre-employment process.
