Riley Power group, LLC is a full-service maintenance and capital construction services company headquartered in Rock Hill, SC. We work nationwide on some of the most challenging, exciting construction and maintenance projects in the industrial sector. We are currently hiring a skilled Valve Technician - Jr for multiple locations in the US. The Junior Motor-Operated Valve (MOV) Tester is responsible for assisting experienced MOV Testers in the testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation of safety-related and balance-of-plant motor-operated valves at commercial nuclear power plants. This entry-level position provides hands-on training in diagnostic testing, data collection, preventive maintenance, and regulatory compliance while working under the supervision of qualified personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist senior MOV Testers with diagnostic testing and maintenance of motor-operated valves.
Learn to operate MOV diagnostic equipment such as VOTES, VTDAS, and other approved diagnostic equipment.
Assist with static testing, dynamic testing, torque switch verification, limit switch verification, thrust calculations, and stem factor testing.
Perform valve inspections before and after testing.
Collect, review, and record test data accurately.
Complete required documentation in accordance with station procedures.
Assist in troubleshooting valve performance issues.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance under supervision.
Maintain tools and testing equipment in good working condition.
Follow plant procedures, quality requirements, and Human Performance (HU) tools.
Participate in pre-job briefs, post-job reviews, and safety meetings.
Maintain housekeeping standards in work areas.
Support outage schedules, including overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays as required.
