Job description
Edgewater is seeking qualified candidates for a Project Manager opportunity for our customer in Oak Ridge, TN for the ORNL Facility.

Must be knowledgeable in operations maintenance, and project management of DOE Category II and Ill Nuclear Facilities, or equivalent

Must have experience as a Cost Account Manager, or equivalent position

Education: BS or Equivalent Experience

Experience: Ten years’ experience in environmental management-related discipline with 5 years direct supervisory experience.

Prior Training or Qualifications: Refer to PROC-FO-515, Facility Management, PPD-EH-1400, Integrated Safety Management System Description and UCOR-4133 Program and Project Management Manual.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Project Managers plan, direct, control, and monitor assigned projects to ensure that project objectives are accomplished.

These responsibilities include control of scope, schedule, budget, and safety in compliance with UCOR policies and procedures.

Refer to PROC-FO-515, Facility Management, PPD-EH-1400, Integrated Safety Management System Description and UCOR-4133 Program and Project Management Manual for additional roles and responsibilities.

SUMMARY: Responsible for managing, coordinating, and administering the project from the conceptual stages through planning, engineering, procurement, construction, start-up, performance testing, initial operations, and project close out. Also supports communications and presentations to customers. Supervises the development of budgets and schedules, manages performance, reports progress, and initiates action to assure program/project objectives and schedules are met and work is performed within budget and according to specifications. Resolves problems and coordinates the final turnover of the project to the customer. Provides leadership for the development and maintenance of a high-performance project team. Has overall responsibility for Program/Project execution, ensuring that Program/Project is delivered within contract requirements, standards of quality and safety and to Customer and/or Corporate performance expectations.

Level Specific Responsibilities: Generally working under the supervision of a senior PM or above:

•        Demonstrates and provides project leadership in their area of responsibility.
•        Consistently demonstrates the ability to proactively identify potential project problems or opportunities, analyze the issues using all appropriate resources, develop alternatives, and arrive at the most optimum approach to mitigate problems or exploit opportunities.
•        Clearly understands scope of work and contract requirements for area of responsibility.
•        Responsible for managing, coordinating, and administering small, complex, projects or studies.
•        Experience in various project management activities such as planning, budgeting and performance measurement.
•        Responsible for managing, coordinating, and administering the project from the conceptual stages through planning, engineering, procurement, construction, start-up, performance testing, initial operations, and prime contract close-out.
•        Supports communications and presentations to customers.
•        Supervises the development of budgets and schedules, manages performance, reports progress, and initiates action to assure project objectives and schedules are met and work is performed within budget and according to specifications.
•        Resolves problems and coordinates the final turnover of the project to the customer.
•        Provides leadership for the development and maintenance of a high-performance project team.
•        Has overall responsibility for Project execution, ensuring that Project is delivered within contract requirements, standards of quality and safety and to Customer and UCOR performance expectations.
