I am a college student about to finish my freshman year as a Chemical Engineering student. I searched the job listings on this site, but didn't find any internships. I was wondering if this site doesn't have summer internship listings or if there just aren't any at the moment.

Thanks

If you can't find internships on the site I would suggest searching the company sites.  I have seen many utility postings for interns.  I'm sure some of the other Nuclear associated companies would have openings for your interest.

You can follow either of the two links below to find out who owns the licence, or is responsible for the plant operations.  For the second link you can click on the state, then find the appropriate plant in the sidebar.

Here is a list of all companies that have postings on nukeworker.  If you go to their site, they could have internships posted there.

Since I haven't been in search of internships I can't help a whole lot, but they are out there.  These are a few good places to look.

Depending on where you are located, you also may want to try to get to the ANS Student Conference, as a large number of companies which are looking for new hires are typically there.  These are probably the same companies that offer internships.

I used to work for Duratek at the Oak Ridge site, Now owned by Energy Solutions. When I worked there they had a internship program for college students.  And if you have been looking at this site long then you no that Energy Solutions is huge. Check out the web site they might have something.
