Officer program and loan repayment
« on: Oct 23, 2008, 10:52 »
Hello all,
I have recently applied for NUPOC, but once I graduate in June 09 around $65,000 in school loans will be calling.  Does the Navy Nuke officer program have loan repayment?
Thanks for any response

I was a recruiter until 2 days ago believe it or not...anyway, enlisted navy will pay back up to 65k in student loans depending on the type of loans (not all loans qualify).  have your recruiter check about loan repayment BEFORE your join, i have seen more than one person get screwed by the LRP (loan repayment program).  if you go with the LRP make your recruiter be proactive.  On a different note, 65 grand is not that much money in the whole scheme of things.  Go officer if you qualify, if not, go enlisted you are a winner either way.
