The Navy Nuke's Prayer
« on: Apr 15, 2009, 09:10 »
I woke up the other morning(I think Easter Sunday) and this just started running through my head.  Hope you guys enjoy.

Our Father, who art in Manuevering
Rickover be thy name.
Thy casualty come,
The immediate actions be done
In the plant, IAW CP-7
Give us this exam our daily CTE
and Forgive our lack of knowledge
as we forgive those who failed to give the “gouge” to us,
And lead us not into requalification,
but deliver to us a formal upgrade.
For thine is the throttles,
and the shim switch, and the scram breakers,
For six hours every day,
FULL SCRAM.

"Explain using obscene hand jestures the concept of pump laws"

I have found the cure for LIBERALISM, it is a good steady dose of REALITY!

That made a super diggit like you puke?   :P

Well truth be told, I am kinda hoping that it makes it into the realm of some other wonderful nuke humor such as "Why McDonalds is better than a Submarine/Navy"  or "you know you are nuke when....".

Who knows maybe someday it will be found pasted behind a label plate in Manuevering during a decom......

Maybe the problem for the (ex)-submariners is that their SCRAM immediate actions fall under a different "CP" number. I thought it interesting that 7 rhymed with heaven.
The above has nothing to do with any real  or imagined person(s).  Moreover, any referenced biped(s) simulating real or imagined persons--with a pulse or not--is coincidental, as far as you know.
