I'm looking at getting into an AO/EO position
« on: Sep 28, 2009, 11:29 »
I just recently got out of the Navy after 6 years as a Navy Nuke.  I finished my Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Engineering Technology and I'm looking at getting into an AO/EO position.  I've applied to a few openings last week but haven't heard anything back.  Does anyone have any good contact information?  I'm open to pretty much any location because I'm single.  Thanks

In the corporate world, hiring can take MONTHS to complete. Only rejection or firing happen right away. Be patient.  :P

Look at the FirstEnergy website.  There is a Plant Attendant job that is open and the application deadline is on Sep 30.  I think they want a fast hire because the last class started just a few weeks ago.  This job opened up when a guy that was hired left before even starting class.

When I hired on, it was less than 3 weeks from start to finish for taking the POSS, taking the job offer, and starting my first day at work.
