Chemistry Technician

Hi....
I recently graduated with a Masters in Chemistry and am in search of a career in the nuclear industry (preferable in Minnesota or Wisconsin).  My three to five year goal is working as a chemistry technician or nuclear operator.   What I am wondering is if starting as a General Plant Helper at a Coal plant is a good start to my career.  I grew up on a dairy farm and am not afraid of working hard to achieve my goals.  Let me know what you think.

Any foot in the door is good as far as getting into the industry.  This should be a helpful step especially if the company with the coal plant also owns nukes AND you are able to bid from one to another prior to a job going to the street.

Best of luck, bounce any questions off of us that you might have, and keep us informed!
