Son of Tammy R. Scarberry Moyers and brother of Bill Scarberry both HP's in the nuclear industry. Michael died on September 2, 2010 by the hands of a murderer he was shot in the heart in Huntsville, Al. No arrests have been made at this time. He was laid to rest on September 4 in Athens, AL. Tammy is currently employed at Browns Ferry and Bill at Wolf Creek.  We ask for your prayers in finding his killer and for his family in this time of grief.  If you would like to contact Tammy or Bill please do so via IM.  All of you that knew the Scarberry family knew how much Tammy loved her son and how much he will be missed.  :'(

HUNTSVILLE, AL -- An Athens man died early today after suffering a single gunshot wound to the chest late last night.

Police Sgt. Mark Roberts said Michael Scarberry, 28, was taken to Huntsville Hospital around 10 p.m. Wednesday. He died about 5:30 a.m. from his wound.

Roberts said Scarberry was shot outside a home in the 3500 block of South Broad Street, just west of Triana Boulevard. Police are not certain why Scarberry was at the home, but Roberts said investigators have a few leads and are looking for potential suspects.

Police have classified the shooting as a homicide.
