Your chances aren't bad at all i would imagine. You did mention an alcohol citation? That could be a potential waiver pending on the severity of the offense considering a requirement to the program is "Good Moral Standards" or some crap like that. When it comes to grades and such, unless you totally bomb the NAPT you sound like your setting pretty solid. Although (Unless they've changed the NAPT in the last 4 months, which is possible considering the test was recently compromised and they've made a few minor changes) the lowest score your allowed to get on the NAPT is a 50 not 41. It is possible that you may very well only be 41 points short, but in order to gain acceptance to the program (if the NAPT is required for the specific applicant) you must score a minimum of a 50 on the exam.
I got accepted 6ish months ago and am currently finishing up my senior year waiting to ship, I was a junior in HS, scored an 85 on ASVAB with a 64 on the NAPT (which is a rather difficult test BTW in my opinion, make sure you're pretty sturdy in your knowledge of trig, and basic sciences/physics. all the rest is pretty much just algebra worded in the most confusing way possible) and i had to get a waiver because i slept my whole freshman year in HS like an r-tard and with my few minor issues the process was still pretty painless and easy, it just took a few weeks to wait for a contract to open up was all.
As long as you pay off that small bill to the bank you look to be setting pretty decent in comparison to other nukes I've witnessed... Thats not to say you'll get in, I'm just saying I've seen much more screwed up individuals make it.
remember its not like your divisions "Nuke coordinator" (i don't remember the title, I've only talked to mine once in 8 months) has a bunch of applications he has to screen sitting in front of him on his desk to compare. You either meet the requirements, or you don't. The difficulty of waivers passing will change depending on how many Nuke positions need to be filled in your area at any given time tho. Once you meet the requirements you'll either sign asap (if there was no one waiting before you and a contract is open), or end up waiting till the beginning of the next month when the next wave of contracts open up.
But no matter how encouraging this may all sound. Always hope for the best, and expect the worst. Please inform us of the outcome though! and good luck!!!
