Denied: Navy nuke DEP questions/help
« on: Sep 03, 2024, 09:03 »
Location: oklahoma
Age: 30
Asvab score: 85
Misdemeanors: 3; open container (2012), pos. Of (marj.2017) , dui (2018)

Situation: so here is the deal. After waiting a month and a half to hear from the nuke program, I get rejected. I never got the chance to talk to a nuke cordinator to see if im a good fit. At this time I'm currently projected to ship to boot camp in 2 weeks. At this point I cannot even change my job. Nuke is the way I want to go though, as it closely aligns with chemical engineering (what I went to  school for)

Is there any way to try again, crossrate, or appeal the rejected application? My criminal charges are nearly 7 years old now. My recruiter says nothing can be done, is this true or has he just checked out?

If someone could get back to me with information soon that would be great, thank you.
