Is anyone out there currently using any sort of reservation system for RP job coverage?  Specifically, non-outage for work outside the planned schedule?

Just curious.  We currently use scheduling software for mask fits with Dosimetry and for truck entry to the salleyport for Security.  I don't think it would be a reach to give our techs a heads up with a system like this.

Thanks for any input.

This is a great idea, what software do you use?

We've looked into something similar, and you're right, it's not much of a stretch given what you're already using. A simple reservation or notification system can really help with non-outage work, especially for after-hours or short-notice coverage. Even a lightweight tool that lets RP see upcoming needs and acknowledge availability can cut down on last-minute scrambling. The biggest challenge seems to be keeping it flexible enough for unplanned work, but when it's set up right, it's a big improvement over calls and emails.
