Title: Got a 'D' in secondary chemistry course
Post by: lwrozans on Oct 17, 2009, 09:45
I earned a 'D' in a high school chemistry 2 honors course
It was my second chemistry course during my high school career
Will this get me waived?

Why do these children come here with these questions? They aren't asking for advice, just some sort of motherly reassurance. No one here can really answer this.

Dave,

I'm out of pats on the head until January 1st and I'm down to 39 Warm Fuzzies.

Maybe if they gave pats on the head and warm fuzzies for outage incentive - you could save them up....

Wait, that's another thread.... ;)

Aren't you the same kid who asked us if it was okay to not tell the navy about your college experience?  I'm thinking that you are not really the best candidate to enter the nuclear program.

I was then dismissed from the school for (and I am reading verbatim from my letter of dismissal):
"...the purchase, possession and distribution of illegal drugs (marijuana) and serving as an active accomplice to thefts committed by guests you brought to campus..."

I am currently filling out my final leg of paperwork prior to signing and was wondering if any of you know if I can slip under the radar ......

Getting a single waiver is not that big of a deal...

but, when one also needs a waiver because they were thrown out of college for drugs and for who knows what other reasons, then the likelihood goes down exponentially....

You will not slip under the radar.

You will not slip under the radar.

Certainly not at this point!  :P

You need the waiver for asking the question.

Not to be a common sense hero, but is the D in High school really that serious compared to your more recent college experience? If what you said was true, I wouldn't be on a forum, I'd talk to you RIC.

Put in a waiver with the recruiter, only way to find out!

I'm currently talking to recruiters about this, and the popular consensus is that they only care if you have done poorly in any high school math classes.  I recently just got a waiver passed for a D in functions of analytic geometry my junior year of HS, but the best option for you is to definately talk to a recruiter.
