Summary of Responsibilities


Maintenance and implementation of the elements of the Urenco USA (UUSA) Industrial Safety Program in coordination with Safety and Emergency Response department personnel.


Education and Experience


Minimum Qualifications:



            

  •         

    Bachelor?s degree in Safety, Industrial Safety, Occupational Safety and Health or other related field, from an accredited four year college or university


            
            

  •         

    Three+ years of related experience


            

Preferred Qualifications:



            

  •         

    Five+ years of related experience in health & safety and/or emergency preparedness

    Work Location: Urenco USA, Eunice, NM


            
            

  •         

    Emergency Response requirements are negotiable


            
            

  •         

    Work Schedule: Professional 9/80 work schedule with minimal night/weekend support. Some nights and weekend work may be required. Employees are also subject to call-outs as needed


            
            

  •         

    Travel Required: 10% of the time or less as required


            
            

  •         

    Security Clearance Requirement: Controlled Access Area (CAA) Access and an L or Q level security clearance is required


            
            

  •         

    Work Environment: Radiological exposure expectations of < 100 mrem/yr. General Office, Plant Production Areas. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets etc.


            
            

  •         

    Responsible for the protection of confidential and proprietary information received during employment, including keeping information in strict confidence, exercising a reasonable degree of care to prevent disclosure to others, not disclosing or divulging either directly or indirectly information to others, and not using the information commercially or for any other purpose other than the performance of their duties for Urenco. Confidential information includes information and data of any kind concerning any matters affecting or relating to Urenco business or operations, including compensation, investigations, financial controls, etc.


            

Primary Functions



            

  •         

    Lead the implementation, enforcement and maintenance of UUSA industrial safety programs


            
            

  •         

    Lead the development and training of UUSA personnel in all aspects of industrial safety.


            
            

  •         

    Maintain safety procedures, including periodic reviews and incorporation of improvements and changes in regulation or requirements


            
            

  •         

    Conduct incident investigations.


            
            

  •         

    Prepare and ensure the submission of regulatory reports.


            
            

  •         

    Actively demonstrate understanding of the UUSA Foundational Behaviors, company values and URENCO Behaviors.


            
            

  •         

    Perform general safety and emergency response tasks and activities as assigned by the Safety and Emergency Response Manager in support of the department

Compensation


Compensation starting at: $98761 - $117573 / year and up dependent on candidate.
