Job description
Summary of Responsibilities



The purpose of the role is to ensure adequate and consistent standards in contract management in Urenco?s project portfolio. The Contract Manager?s responsibility includes the proficient application of standards and responsibility for the contract management output in Urenco?s project portfolio. The role provides a check/review on payments and contractor performance as a key element of the role. The Contract Manager will assume functional accountability for the effective application of Urenco standards and be responsible for project contract management output for Urenco projects. The Contract Manager will provide subject matter expert consulting, advice and instruction. The role will be accountable for the development and maintenance of Urenco?s processes and procedures for contract management.



Education and Experience



Minimum Qualifications

            
  • A bachelor?s degree in science, engineering, supply chain, business administration, construction or related fields
            
  • 10+ years? experience in negotiations, procurement and contract management with proven track record in contracting for engineering and construction services
            
  • Demonstrable experience working within the entire project lifecycle, from concept development to hand-over
            
  • Demonstrable success in arbitration, litigation or adjudication
            
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to work with minimum supervision



Preferred Qualifications

            
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in contract management and negotiations
            
  • Knowledge and understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)and Department of Energy Acquisition Regulations (DEAR)
            
  • MBA is advantageous



Job Details

            
  • Work Location: Eunice, NM
            
  • Work Schedule: 9/80 professional work schedule
            
  • Travel Required: 10% of the time or less as required.
            
  • Security Clearance Requirement: CAA Access and an L or Q level security clearance.
            
  • Emergency Response Requirements: Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duty may be required; including being on-call (24/7) during your designated team duty week.
            
  • Work Environment: Radiological exposure expectations of < 100 mrem/yr. General Office, Plant Production Areas. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets etc.



Primary Functions



This role manages the commercial and financial aspects of contracts supplying goods and services for one or more

projects. The main areas of responsibility will include:


            
  • Supporting with pre-contract let activities
            
  • Administrating their assigned contracts in line with Urenco?s policies and procedures
            
  • Maintaining records of all contract communications and ensuring that all communications are executed in line with the contractual required timescales
            
  • Provide support to project managers for their assigned contracts and manage interactions and claims with project teams and other project contributors
            
  • Monitor contract performance and make management aware of any upcoming commercial or contract issues or deadlines
            
  • Evaluate, prepare and review claims
            
  • Ensure knowledge is retained and transferred and undertake lessons learned reviews to promote continuous improvement
            
  • Accountability for contract management standards
            
  • Ensure alignment between the business objectives and the project contract management standards
            
  • Ensure alignment between contractual requirements and project control standards
            
  • Active participation in assurance reviews
            
  • Maintain an overview of subject matter expert?s skills and competencies and provide development of project support resources for both contract and staff
            
  • Approval of exceptions and deviations from standards
            
  • Quality control of contract management deliverables
            
  • Responsible for project contract personnel, including performance management activities, scheduling, mentoring, coaching, hiring, etc.

Compensation starting at: $ 145308 - $ 181635 / year and up dependent on candidate.
