To help ensure that its four nuclear power stations are ready to meet the challenges ahead, Dominion Energy is investing hundreds of millions of dollars to update and upgrade key equipment at each site. These improvements are generally large in scale and complexity and require exceptional project management to be implemented with excellence. To support these ongoing efforts, Dominion Energy?s Nuclear Project Team is actively seeking an experienced Senior Controls Specialist ? Project Risk Manager (?Specialist?).
Job Summary
Each of Dominion Energy?s four nuclear power stations has onsite Project Managers who are directly accountable for the effective execution of assigned projects. The Specialist, however, is a member of a central project controls office which provides support to the entire fleet and ensures that the highest standards of performance are being achieved. The Speicalist will be responsible for overseeing the risk management governance, procedures, and tools utilized at the local level. Further, they will work to standardize processes across the nuclear fleet and ensure that best practices and lessons are shared between site teams.
More specifically, the Specialist will:
In summary, the Specialist will function as the subject matter expert for project risk management, providing guidance, training, and support to Project Managers, controls personnel, and cross-functional teams. They will be expected to drive continuous improvement through the identification and sharing of lessons learned, best practices, and common risk patterns across the nuclear fleet to strengthen overall project performance and risk maturity. In all aspects of their role, the PM will be expected to establish and nurture productive relationships with stakeholders from across the organization.

Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelor
Preferred Disciplines: Business, Finance, Risk Management, or closely related degree
Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above
Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description
Preferred Candidates will possess additional training or certifications to include the Project Management Professional (PMP).
