Job Summary

Dominion Energy seeks a Senior Financial Analyst in the Nuclear Projects group at the Innsbrook Technical Center in Glen Allen, VA.

Job responsibilities include:

•    Facilitates financial and budget review meetings with director, project managers, cost controls, and contracts team to communicate financial results and reviews forecasts. Prepares financial reporting and detailed analysis of nuclear projects’ capital funding and operational & maintenance expenses and financial forecasts. 

•    Prioritize and triage issues related to invoices and timesheets.

•    Coordinates timing and input needed during the budget process, consolidates, analyzes, and reports variance drivers to management for decision making.

•    Provides financial analysis and review in support of financial reporting including budgeting and forecasting.

•    Ensures the reconciliation of financial systems and reporting.

•    Serve as business partner with Project Manager and perform cost controls functions. 

•    Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

One of the following qualifications must be met:

•    Bachelor degree and 5+ years of related experience in accounting or finance OR;Associate degree and 7+ years of related experience in accounting or finance OR;HS Diploma and 9+ years of related experience in accounting or finance.   

Knowledge in financial management and analysis; accounting standards and practices:

  • Requires excellent organizational, interpersonal, teamwork, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Must have knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles(GAAP)
  • Demonstrated ability to be customer-focused in a large matrix organization.
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Aptitude for continuous learning.

Preferred:

•    Electric utility

•    SAP experience

Bonus: ability to build PowerBI dashboards

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Expected Hiring Base Salary Range:

$90900 - $118100

The expected hiring base salary range is the range we anticipate hiring within for this position. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the selected candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and work location.
