Expected salary range of $93,600 to $104,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

Primary Purpose of Position

The Senior Regulatory Analyst is responsible for managing and responding to retail regulatory inquiries involving Constellation's retail gas and electric customers and other related duties. This critical role requires effective communication with state regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of state compliance requirements, retail power and gas market rules and internal business processes. This position requires the ability to produce accurate, timely work in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment. Reports to Manager, Compliance.


Primary Duties and Accountabilities

  • Develop timely, accurate, and professional responses to customer issues involving state and retail regulatory matters.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for state regulatory agencies regarding compliance, regulatory, and inquiry related matters.
  • Monitor and analyze internal metrics, root cause drivers, and emerging trends to identify escalation needs, recurring issues, and process improvement opportunities, and prepare and present related reports and analyses for senior leadership.
  • Partner with the Customer Advocacy Team Lead to ensure customer issues are tracked, investigated, documented, and resolved.
  • Prepare reports and data submissions required for regulatory, licensing, and compliance filings, and support ad hoc data requests related to regulatory proceedings and investigations.
  • Collaborate with cross functional business partners to evaluate the operational and compliance impacts of current and proposed policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

  • Clear understanding of business policy and practice throughout entire retail business
  • Experience in the retail energy industry and or regulated/deregulated energy markets
  • Ability to direct, lead, or manage cross functional teams composed of team members not under direct supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, including verbal and written
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights for executive audiences
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • 5 years of experience supporting competitive state and retail electric and gas markets

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Business, Accounting, Communications, or a related field
  • Established relationships with utilities, state regulators key environmental, trade organizations and government agencies
  • Knowledge of energy sales and delivery systems, tariffs, customer service, etc
  • Advanced knowledge of the energy industry, including retail energy operations and regulatory requirements
  • Experience in compliance, regulatory, or legal functions
  • Experience using Salesforce and customer account management systems
