How to peak a ludlum 2200 scaler ratemeter

I need to know how to peak this ratemeter to cesium for daily QC. I have been setting the threshold to the cesium energy of 652 then turning on the window and putting it on HV and counting for 1 minute. My readings are between 7500 and 8000. Does this sound about right to anyone?
