Career as an MM

So my fiance just graduated from boot camp and has started nuc school.  He will be an MM. I was just curious to see what people think of this position.  Is it a good one?  What all does it entail? etc.  Thanks for your help!

He chose the best rate. We are undermanned, but we have enough people to not hurt too badly :)

Navy is what you make it, and everyone loves their rate anyway. MM has the best opportunities.

It's an excellent choice if he becomes the superior rate that is ELT!
Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.
