From what I understand, SSBN do not have an active role on the war on terror, but do SSGNs get to go to the arabian gulf.
Has there been an official decision on Guam being a homeport?
Are these questions permissible?

I figured it might be sensitive for this board, I'll pursue other avenues.
Thanks, HoneyComb.

Phew!  Tensions were running high there - had my finger right on the button, with full Target Motion Analysis zeroing in...  That was a close one, Cap'n!

Remember who you love. Remember what is sacred. Remember what is true.

Some of your questions are OK!! Home ports for the SSGNS will be Bangor and Kings Bay otherwise new support facilities would have to be built. Specific operational information has been and will be off limits but general information on mission is available. If you are curious about what is OK just go to the military public sites. However if you are in the Navy you cannot confirm any information even if it is public. You can say that the Navy says this is the capability or mission but you cannot provide first hand information. If in doubt don't say anything.

Let me see, it is a submarine, not much, if anything to see from a submarine, so why does it matter where it goes?  Rhetorical question, just some odd humor on my part.
