Hey everyone,

I have to say reading this site has made my decision to enlist as a nuke much easier (albeit intimidating but whats life without a good challenge.)

I did have a question though that I did not find anywhere through my readings...with the new Gerald R. Ford class carriers being developed will any of the schooling be changed to tailor to the A1B reactors?

What would it matter? The Navy will teach you what you need to know, and it doesn't need to be posted in an online forum.

As a gentle reminder, exercise caution when posting specifics about reactor designations and other plant specific information. 

In plain English, this means refrain from doing it.

To the OP - I know the reactor info is available on wikipedia, but once you are read-in to security programs, you can't confirm or deny that information on the internet is accurate.  You can just smile  .  Don't sweat it though, the Navy doesn't teach any reactor specific knowledge right now that is specific to a reactor operating in the fleet.  You will learn everything you need to though to quickly grasp the reactor on whatever platform you go to.
