Jr. HP Travel / Contracting

I am fairly new to nuke and will be INPO qualified as a Jr. HP in the next 2 months.  I am looking to work the biannual outages locally in
AZ as well as picking up one to two outages traveling throughout the year.  Does anyone have some solid suggestions on securing non returnee contracts and braking into the industry to gain this experience?

My suggestion to get work... Call these numbers and call them often:

Not saying one is better then the other, but the one that pays you in any given season is your best friend. I'd also suggest that you be willing to take anything they offer you, if you can swing the it.

Sometimes our many years of experience with this forum can help nubies faster than their own search labors. We know what to look for since we probably posted in those threads ourselves.

Matt - are you not currently onsite at Palo right now with BNI?  If you are the same one that is on site i would recommend talking to your Site Coordinator about returning in the future as a JHP tech.  Let me know how it goes.

Hey everyone I am having the same problem getting started as a jr. HP I graduated roane state community college in april and since then I have submited around 150 resumes and have not had a hit on one yet and now I am working as a permit insulater at watts bar and I have talked to everyone there that I know and seems like nothing is going the right way any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your suggestions everyone.  My main goal is to obtain an inhouse position as an RP, but I realize that 2-3 years of experience is normally necessary to do so.
