"On Nov. 4, 2013, SCE&G completed placement of the nuclear island basemat for V.C. Summer Unit 3. This major milestone comes just seven months after SCE&G poured the first new construction nuclear concrete in the U.S. in three decades for its Unit 2 nuclear island.  Crews worked through the night to complete the approximately 43-hour concrete placement on Nov. 4, 2013."
