Really enjoyed the few days spent in Idaho coming home from Columbia this spring, ditto for Montana and Glacier National Park. Don't remember the cold but the scenery was second to none. Karma to ya'
Things come to those who wait, but usually it's stuff left over from those who hustle!

I am going to have to add Massachusetts to my top 3 for their unemployment check of 625 a week.  I have  only been there once.  The Airport and the unemployment office.  Then I go back to my most favorite state TN no state Tax and my family lives there so Imake it Numero Uno.  Except for unemployment checks of 275 a week which suck!!! LOL.

illegalsmile

Georgia seems to like Tennessee, too. They're trying to claim part of it

I have girlfriends in all three states with pennsylvania being the best and most abundant  but all 50 have something unique to offer.  Texas is missing a village idiot has anyone seen or heard from him??

desertdog

Montana - first state lived in after leaving home (Ohio),  First time seeing weeks/months on end of blue sky and sunny days.  (if you've spent any time in OH you know what I'm talking about)

Oregon -  most beautiful and green state I've been to.  (Been to all but four)

California - can't stand to stay for the whole year lately but damn there's almost no end to fun stuff to do year round

Gotta say I loved my years in upstate NY.  It got pushed out of my top 3 by CA.

Also gotta say OH ain't all bad.  Fishing is awesome and you can find some nice deer too.

A great state to drive through to get somewhere else.

My 3 were Md, FL, and AL. I'm from MD so it is my favorite, it has the 4 seasons and the winters are pretty much mild compared to up north. Summers are great on the water. DC is close enough for a days sightseeing trip, yet far enough from all the crime. FL was my 2nd, I'm currently working CR-3 and have been here since August. The Nature's Coast is beautiful!!!! Everything under the sun to do, and once all the snow birds leave the roads will be safer to drive on. AL was my 3rd pic, I worked Farley last spring and really loved the area. The people were some of the nicest! The beaches were close. The weather was awesome.

Tennessee is the place to be. Since it is home, I am biased.

Washington in June/July/August is the best place on Earth if you're into outdoor anything.  (The other nine months each year are great, too - if you really love RAIN.)

Tennessee was nice, too.  Lots of nice people there.

North Carolina.......beautiful coast to the east......and enchanting mountains to the west.

But then like Dream Tarheel, I'm biased, for I live on Lake Norman (NC).

;) Michigan of course!  Growing up in Southwest Michigan was great.
But, I must admit that I love my transpalnted town of Charlevoix!!

Oh.... Vermont ! Has it all. Fishing, skiing, public nakedness, cheese, maple syrup and ice cream too. South Caroina comes next with beaches, seafood and pralines. three is Michigan in the fall. The lake, Halloween, concord grapes and apples. I love the United States and each one has something special. That's why I love to travel. God bless the per diem check.

You gotta be kidding me! ;)
Everytime I go back to visit family I'm amazed at the number of leather jacketed, firebird driving, gold chain wearing goombahs on every corner.
On the plus side...excellent italian restaurants!
Just saying...
(I got rid of all my jackets and gold chains back in the 80's!)
I vote for Idaho.

Colorado has it all. The best weather in the country. More outdoor activities then  one can do in a year. 300 days of sunshine, hard to beat!

The list is still missing "confusion"
