I have heard all the bad things about the place, but there are always rumors of ridiculous signing bonuses. Most recently I heard one about a $1.5 mil 5 year contract.

What is the truth about the pay and bonuses there?

I normally dismiss these things as that, but There has to be some basis to the start of the rumor. The latest one was heard from a pretty senior navy officer, that I have known for many years.

I heard that rumor when I was in the Navy 8 years ago.
