So you think 10 billion a unit is a myth?

I don't perceive that as the gist of the article,...

the last statement in the article is the salient statement,...

.....So what's the bottom line? Basically that nuclear power is expensive only if a country chooses to make it so.

been there, dun that,... the doormat to hell does not read "welcome", the doormat to hell reads "it's just business"

I posted an article with some interest and a point of view from some people that did a lot of research. But to put it in perspective they do show the US as unreasonably high when other countries kept cost in check.
What I do think is that your responses show a narrow perspective of a larger issue. Posting an interesting possibly thought provoking article is not endorsement.

Yep, ~1,500 words and 6 pretty little charts to state the obvious.

If pithy was on the mark and thoughtful I would agree. It sounds more like a big frog in a little pond croaking to me.

"That's just my opinion I could be wrong." D.M. (probably not)

I remember reading the December 1980 (?) issue of Forbes Magazine about the "Nuclear Follies" in this country.  The gist of their article was essentially the same - the units will cost as much as you allow them to.  There was an amazing contrast between the costs in the Duke Power system back then and the (unfinished) costs of the Clinton Power Station . . . and why there was such a disparity.
