Developers of Bellefonte Nuclear Plant got their strongest public indication Tuesday that its much-needed potential customer in Memphis isn't interested.


And that rebuke appears to make it more likely that the mothballed plant in northeast Alabama will continue to sit unfinished while again facing a bleak and uncertain future.

The Tennessee Valley Authority's (TVA) board of directors voted to sell the unfinished Bellefonte nuclear power construction site after about 10 minutes of discussion at their most recent meeting after being presented with the option by the utility's general council.

So a guy who TVA fired is going to complete a nuclear plant in a region that doesnt need the electricity? Won't happen.

So we are going to listen to someone who's nuclear career has been on a downward trend

How dare they run this illegal operation!  I sent TVA a PM so he can go over there and shut it down.  He can bring Arty the Alligator and Jerry Giraffe to help him thwart the impostors.

While I did expect the "I told you so!" I actually expected it from TVAzilla.


He was wrong that it was illegal. He was right that it ain't gonna happen.

Yeah that was kinda what my post was directed at...how TVA thinks he is ALWAYS right...I'm sure he's right sometimes.  So GLW can direct posts at me all day about TVA being right about one thing...but there is always one other thing he's not right about.  So just to let you know GLW, yes I agree TVA is right about some things.  Obviously TVA ain't no dummy....just very egotistical and in denial about some things.

Wagering a bet on something already lost It was put up for auction and an offer given. That is a lot of money to be thrown away just for the process of bidding on an illegal action by companies with far better lawyers than TVA.
