TVA proposes to close Paradise, Bull Run coal units despite Trump tweet

This article is about coal plants one not far from where I live, one sentence in it caught my eye as unexpected.

"With increased volatility in energy consumption and increased nuclear generation that provides lower cost, steady generation,  Unit 3 is challenged to adjust in order to respond to these changes in consumption."
