"There are over 200 military health or medical physicists, 35 (17%) of whom are female, supporting over one million Department of Defense personnel. They serve in the U.S. Air Force, Army, and Navy."  From Health Physics, November 2018, Volume 115 - Issue 5 - p 616–622.  I suspect the percentage of women in nuclear engineering is lower than 17%.  I'm glad they exist.  We need more. Only in the last two decades has there been a school push to get more women interested in Math/Sciences.  Too often the women (and men) fighting nuclear power lack the education to have a real understanding of the variables and complexities.
