As the leaders of the American Nuclear Society, we speak on behalf of 10,000 scientists, engineers and technologists — many of whom live with their families near facilities like Indian Point — who devote their careers to harnessing nuclear technology to save and improve lives. We urge Cuomo and the state of New York to take a fresh look at the growing negative consequences that Indian Point’s closure will have for residents of the Empire State.
