Man thats a lot of cash. Other than keeping a drove of beard-scratchers employed, what has this accomplished? Seems like there hasnt been much return on the investment. If they were to approach the shark tank for some more dollars - they would be told to pack sand.

If it never happens it is creating advancements outside of Fusion. Is it more expensive than pure science developments? Probably, but most of the money is from private parties so no skin off of my nose. Well, there is ITER which is funded by multiple governments. It is going to be a dinosaur by the time it ever gets off the ground. Technology is passing it by.
