Not sure if this is the best place to post this, but the other, maybe more appropriate forums seem very quiet.

Auxiliary Operator position @ Constellation advertises something in the realm of $39/hr in training, and training goes for about 6 months in the classroom and 6 months on shift before the pay raise happens.

My question is: what's the hourly pay after the pay raise?

I can’t speak for Byron, but I’m an AO at R.E. Ginna, another Constellation plant in NY. We are non-union. I’ll try to give as much info as I can for pay transparency.

Our 5 week schedule is: 12 hour shifts, D=Days, N=Nights,T=training days are 9 hours, X=off.
S M T W T F S
X X X X X N N
N X X X D D D
D X T T T T X
X N N N N X X
X D D D X X X

Our 2025 pay is:
$42.44/hr with no experience (all in with bonus and built in overtime annual pay is at least $105k)
$47.10/hr with experience or after they get on shift ($119K)
$52.94/hr after fully qualified outside/secondary/primary ($134k)
$56.39/hr 12 months after being fully qualified ($142k)
$59.38/hr 24 months after being fully qualified. ($147k)

Every AO here makes more than these minimums due to picking up shifts at 1.5X or 2X pay, plus’s working holidays or outages.

Reactor Operators:
$65.47/hr in training.
$73.65/hr after getting license + their annual bonus probably 2-3 times the EO bonus.
$77.49/hr after having license for 12 months.

I hope this helps, but from what I can tell, each constellation plant is slightly different.

Thanks for that info!

The shifts are also 12 hrs. at Byron from what I was told. They didn't give an exact pay figure after the raise, but they are union, so I would assume it's constant across the board.
