What is the future outlook of the SRO role with the impact of SMR's and AI?

Hello, I am a 15 year old and I am passionate about entering the nuclear operator field. I have a few questions regarding the field.

1. The release of SMRs in the United States seem to be projected to be released at around 2030-2040, I was wondering; how will this impact the role of a SRO/RO negatively or positively? Will the need of reactor operators decrease in coming years?

2. I have a similar question but regarding AI, will AI negatively affect the role of a reactor operator, if so, in what way? In other words, is the field "AI resistant"?

3. Is there going to be a demand in reactor operators in the future or a decline? I heard that its projected to decline in the next decade, but I also hear that their is a retirement wave coming out of the field, meaning more job openings.

I appreciate any answers.
Thank you,
- LW

so,.....
at a high school, near Baltimore, on or about May 22nd, 2025, surveillance AI mistook a bag of chips for a gun and a high school student was "detained" by several responding LEOs with lethal weapons drawn,...
I think we have a long way to go before we trust nuclear fission to AI,...

or fusion for that matter,....

been there, dun that,... the doormat to hell does not read "welcome", the doormat to hell reads "it's just business"
