For the Navy Nukes this is where Adm Rickover started his career in nuclear power. He earned a degree in Doctorate of Pile Engineering (D.O.P.E. degree). Next year alongside the sail of the USS Houston in Bissell Park Oak Ridge there will be a statue of Rickover in the memorial.
