(The Oak Ridge Chapter) NukeWorker.Com Softball Team debuts tonight at 9:00 PM, at the Clark Center. The team looks pretty solid this year and we would love to have some backing in the stands.

Rennhack

I can't be there tonight, but I will make the next game.  When is it.

Dave Warren

Big Daddy Dave Warren comes through with a big 2-run basehit in the bottom of the inning to secure a 18-17 victory. Nuke is now 1-0 in the Y-12 softball league.

Kudos  When is the next game?

CONGRATUALTIONS TO THE TEAM

WHEN DAVE WAS PLAYING AT RUMPKE FIELD (FERNALD) HE ALWAYS DID WELL.  I ALWAYS ENJOYED WATCHING HIS TEAM PLAY.  THEY WERE IN A UPPER DIVISION IF YOU CAME WATCHED THAT TEAM PLAY YOU KNEW IT WAS GOING TO BE A GOOD GAME.  I MISS GOING AND WATCHING THE GAMES THERE.   HOPEFULLY THIS TEAM WILL DO WELL ALSO.   HAVE A SAFE DAY AND TRY NOT TO WORK TO HARD

Please don't use all caps when posting.  It's the internet equivalent of shouting.  Thanks.

Dave Warren

Hey, thanks for the compliments, NBT. I have 8 Ex-Fernaldians playing on my team and we have a lot of fun out there. Just like the old days at Fernald. No beer and no huge crowds, but we make the best of it.

We are all happy we left the "F" word (Fernald, that is), but we still miss the after hours activities.

To all you Oak Ridge homebodies that never come to our Thursday night get-together's: Maybe you could come out and enjoy some softball and have a laugh and smile a little bit. We wouldn't mind seeing some of you shut-ins. You know who you are.

You will recognize the following Ex-Fernald softball players: Jay Monroe, Victor Fileppi, Mark Weaver, Chad Replogle, Mark Jenkins, Marlin Helms, Greg Ancona, and myself.

dave,

i was under the impression by your article you had played two games this week.  that is why i was asking about who won the second game.  i guess i was misled my your post only one game this week.   sorry ill try to pay more attention               have a great day and good luck at your next game.   ill stay tuned to see how the team is doing             hello to the ex-fernald baseball players.   hit one out of the park ??? ???

KevsHarley

Dave,

I hope you play Softball better there, than you did at Fernald!!!!! haha
Did someone finally teach you how to hit the ball? No, I'm just kidding.
You was a good ball player, but the Ball Buster are still the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wished I could be there playing ball with you all, but I'm stuck at the Ferry.
Good Luck to the team and can't wait to see the PIX.

  Old Ball Buster from Fernald.....

Hint, I played short stop!!!!!!!!

Dave Warren

Hey, its all good. By the way, I was 4 for 4 and drove in the winning runs, so I guess I learned to hit. :)

Tonight's game is at 6:00 for those of you who would like to know.

Dave Warren

Those were excellent pics, Mike. Thank you again for the sponsorship, and the shirts are totally rad.(Bad pun)

Our NukeWorker team lost 14-13 last night. Chad Replogle and Mark Jenkins both hit balls over the fence. We were a little gimped up and had players out of position last night, and still almost won. Our next game is June 6th at 9:00 PM.

We are 1-1 in the league with 8 games to play.

Dave Warren

Last night, Chad Replogle and Mark Jenkins had home runs again, and the NukeWorker Crew was victorious 11-4.

Of course, I had a stellar performance on the mound, as usual.

We are 2-1 in the league and play again on 6-20.
