This article raised a question for me. It has been more than a couple of decades since I have done any waste characterization. Handheld spectroscopy did not deliver required results back then specifically for lead in paint. The Navy was experimenting with it in the decommissioning of ships. I didn't get an answer in a quick search. Is there a handheld now that delivers results that meets concentration limits?
