We have updated the "Current Reactor Status" section on our facility information pages to provide a much more detailed and intuitive look at plant performance and operational history.

You can see the new layout and logic in action on these pages:

What's New:

  • Dynamic Visualizations: A new central analog power gauge and percentage ring provide an immediate visual of current MWe output relative to nameplate capacity.
  • Interactive 14-Day History: You can now hover over the individual bars in the 14-day history chart to see the exact MWe and estimated homes powered for that specific day.
  • Intelligent Status Footer: The bottom section of the box now adapts based on the unit's current state:
    • Breaker-to-Breaker: Tracks continuous run duration and milestones.
    • Scram Events: If a recent trip occurred, the dashboard pulls in NRC Event reports, including the date, event number, and the specific reason for the trip (e.g., steam leaks or manual trips).
    • Outage Progress: During refueling or maintenance, it displays the start date, days elapsed, and the estimated total duration.
  • Grid Impact: We've added data showing the real-time number of homes powered by the unit's current output.

These updates are part of an ongoing effort to make facility data more accessible and useful for tracking industry trends and specific plant performance. Log in and check out your local plant to see the new dashboard.
