I heard through a family grapevine that Brian Cheek passed away in March, 2026. Although I didn't know him very well, had an interesting moment with him. He was engaged to (and married later) to a cousin of my Lady. They came to a Pirates game in da Burgh last summer. Since he was in RP at North Anna we got into a little chat. Brian confessed he only knew one person in the Pgh are. He knew a Steve...  and before he could finish, i said Palko. Everyone there thought it amazing that we could find a common friend in 1 guess. Brian and I laughed as we knew nukes are a small community. Brian was retired at the time and enroute to a bass tourney where he was to be a judge.
Good guy.
