The U.S. Department of Energy awarded Washington State University $1.4 million to launch the Reactor Ready initiative. This program, supported by an equal university cost share, aims to increase the supply of trained personnel for nuclear operations and safety roles. The effort addresses projected workforce shortages as demand for nuclear energy expertise grows across the sector.
