I went to the S1W prototype and on the bus ride on the way out we passed a road that went out to a mound of dirt. I did not know what it was but during ELT school one of our civilian RadCon instructors was one of the first to enter the SL-1 building after the accident. Got to hear some firsthand stories of the recovery.
