The General is the only US manufacturer left. But they have already created Japanese partnerships. If you buy enough Japanese stuff, that money ends up in Japanese banks. Then, the Japanese banks buy our most profitable businesses. They do so by giving Toshiba and Hitachi the financing to grow their businesses.

It doesn't make any difference - I get to train crews to look at trends on a Yokogawa Chart Recorder instead of a Westronics recorder. ...until Japanese becomes the official language of nuclear power. Then I say sayonara, and drive my Honda home.  ;D
