He got away with it!

     Heard this story of a nukeworker from long ago...

     The guy got a property pass to take excess woodchips home from the plants landscaping materials. Every day at the end of shift the guy would show up at the security checkpoint with a wheelbarrow heaping with woodchips.
     After a few days the guards suspected the guy was up to something. Every day the guards would sift through the guys woodchips trying to find some stolen company tools or something hidden in the heap and every day they would find only woodchips in the wheelbarrow, nothing else.
     This went on for years and years.
     Eventually the guy retired from the power company.
     At his retirement party the security officer confronted him. "We know you've been sneaking SOMETHING out of the plant all these years, but couldn't ever figure out what it was. You're retired now so why don't you tell us what you were really taking home with you?"
The guy finally 'fessed up and told him what he was taking from the plant over all those years. "Wheelbarrows."  ;)

I remember the same joke, but substitute "entering East Germany" for leaving the protected area and "bicycle" for wheelbarrow. Lots of those going around after the wall fell.  8)
