The Karsten Inn,122 Ellis St. Kewaunee WI 54216 phone # 920 388 3800 is a great place to stay.  Rosewitha Heuer is general manager. It is a beautiful hotel and has a bar. The email address is gm@karsteninn.com   We had a wonderfull two months there. This inn is about 8 miles from Kewaunee Nuclear and 13 miles from Point Beach Nuclear

My last stay there I was at Heritage Inn in downtown Manitowoc. (920)682-8271 clean rooms and the best weekly rate(single) I found at the time. You won't meet any nicer people to work for than Kewaunee. I'm sorry I'll miss the outage!

This is a little ol' rooming house right across the street from the harbor. There is a shared central living room/lounge area with couches, chairs, table, fireplace, TV set, etc. The rooms are located just off the living room. Communal bathroom with 3 shower stalls. This place is not a five star hotel, but it is clean, and comfortable, and most importantly CHEAP. The owners are very friendly nice too.
Walking distance from several bars and restaurants.
Approx 15min drive to the plant.

The Historic Karsten Inn
This is a big old hotel in downtown Kewaunee WI. It's <30 min north of the plant.
This place is nice.
The restaurant has been closed for years and the bar is rarely open, but there are several restaurants and taverns within 2 blocks walking distance from the hotel. There is a laundermat 2 blocks up the street as well.
The outage season is their slow time of the year, and they offer reduced weekly rates to nukeworkers. I think it's like $120 a week or something. Not bad.
Worth considering.

I would highly recommend Seagull Marina campground the owner is Scott and has made the stay hear very nice. Mc Donalds 100 ft out the gate and within walking distance of Bars and Resturants downtown Two Rivers. They don't make you pay until you leave. If you like to fish, charters are right there and fishing peir right on site.

For rent to a dayshift worker/couple: 1 bedroom in my southside Manitowoc home. Queen size bed. I'll be working nights at PBNP.  So I'll have the house to myself during the day, you'll have it to yourself all night. Make yourself at home and watch DirecTv, use the washer and dryer, etc. MUST LIKE DOGS, as I have 2 friendly big dogs & 1 cat who'll probably want to hang out with you at night. Rate $150/week. Hey in Two Rivers check out the East Pointe Beach Club, Tom and Debbie are the owners. Good drinks and DJ music on the weekends great staff of bartenders New Resturant downtown on Washington called The Element Bistro food is good prices fair.  Also check out Juices owned by a guy that works at the plant and for a good local neighborhood bar with food check out Lenny's 2

Do not stay at Countryside Apartments in Kewaunee, WI.  They will do everthing that they can to rip you off when you leave due to leasing loopholes and what they tell you to get you to sign the lease.  Count on at least paying 2 months after you leave, unbelievable!

Basically run by alc'ys and the kids (18-24) run wild there parking anywhere they want, even in front of your door!

Just a heads up, find somewhere else on a monthly basis.
