   Well kind of, but this article was talking about investing in uranium on speculation that the world market will increase. No specifics about the health of the US market, that may still suck.

Nobody would be building new reactors if it was truly dead.  It may not be vibrant but it aint dead yet.

Plans For New Reactors Worldwide

-Nuclear power capacity worldwide is increasing steadily, with over 60 reactors under construction in 15 countries.
-Most reactors on order or planned are in the Asian region, though there are major plans for new units in Russia.
-Significant further capacity is being created by plant upgrading.
-Plant life extension programs are maintaining capacity, in USA particularly.

Today there are some 437 nuclear power reactors operating in 31 countries plus Taiwan, with a combined capacity of over 380 GWe. In 2014 these provided 2411 billion kWh, over 11% of the world's electricity.
Over 60 power reactors are currently being constructed in 13 countries plus Taiwan (see Table below), notably China, South Korea, UAE and Russia.

When the nations largest nuclear utility is trying to get legislation to raise the price of other power in order to make nuclear competitive then industry is dead. Of the 5 reactors in progress 3 will complete at most. Watts Bar will never pay for itself. Who cares about global? Last I checked they ain't going to create american jobs except for former SROs and that is only temporary. Dead industry

hmm, how about an article on why such a large number of the accelerated produced radioisotopes are coming from outside this county and not from companies here?   It's not reactor. Seems like a missed market.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but for someone who worked in the industry for so long and understands that it has been in a precarious position for decades, the word dead seems unduly harsh and an unfair assessment.  Instead of trying to create drama why not just use a more appropriate word?  Stagnant and precarious seem better.  Dead just seems like a way to garner attention.  Look at me I'm the soothsayer.  Nuclear power is obviously alive and well in many parts of the world however precarious it is in the US.  That is undisputed.

Nowadays it is hard to intentionally misspell words with instant spell checkers.  If you even try to misspell a work in Nukeworker the word gets underlined in red.

Once I had put together what I thought to be a solid project approach report. I met with upper management to review it before we sent it out. During his review he began chuckling. At one point in the body of the text I had inadvertently left the "f" out of shift work and spell check didn't catch it. I sure am glad he did.

Word also has a grammar check function - it will locate out of context words most of the time. It can also evaluate the grade level / readability. I try to write for a grade 9 audience. Keeps it easy to read, but not too pedantic...

   The author of Eats, Shoots and Leaves is British but if you are a grammar Nazi it is worth the read. Spelling, sentence structure, and punctuation all can change meaning. On a forum like this though I like smiley's which are a little more universal which is why I like them. Just hard to get the right one or combination. Smileys are simple and replace facial features that are important to communication on a social level and for the most part these threads are social with a technical mix.
   I tend to like SloGlo's posts, there is a diverse mix of people posting here a little time to try and understand the source is always a good thing. His posts are much better than some of the intransigent curmugeons that post here.

   A new age of anything requires a new perspective whether it is nuclear power or communication. U feel me bro
