The local communities in the general vicinity of the late Kewaunee Power Station would be all to familiar with the "fallout" of the cessation of sustained fission. Throw in a big city charlatan from down Chicago way (ironically supposedly a nuclear engineer) who was able to convince the local dairy farmers that the facility was worth approx. 300 times what its approximate actual value is, and the subsequent property taxes paid by the owner of the facility, and you now have said dairy farmers, their neighbors, their schools, yadayada , owing some serious cash. All the sun, wind, and natural gas that could be locally mustered up wont tender that debt.
