during my reed of the article they're was know indications of the author's north/south comparative narrative, butt a reveal of the nuke industry problems inn the southern states.

An oversimplification of a complex situation. She seemed to want it to be about the south and nuclear was the vehicle. If you live in the south and you don't like nuclear power, wait 15 minutes and you'll find something else you don't like. If you live in the north............The people in power don't seem to be able to make good decisions. The unexpected consequences overshadow the intended goals. They chase the dollar and lake shortcuts to avoid expenses and end up with something they didn't want. And that is another oversimplification. In the infamous words of an unnamed supervisor "just take the money!".
